Jean-Elie considers his role to be that of an educator whose goal is to help patients gain an understanding of the various conditions that affect them, and to help them discover healthy processes that can mitigate the negative effects of these conditions. This approach takes into consideration that a patients’s cultural beliefs play a significant role in their care.

When not working he enjoys cooking (he even owned a restaurant before) and many different sports activities from swimming, cycling, soccer, tennis and table tennis, to name a few.
Of utmost importance is his family and the pleasure of watching his children grow and develop into healthy, respectful, intelligent young men.
